* now waiting for the flag n + in stead of  “(don't display my country's flag (we're all one!)”  to say “choose People's Republic of Zaadz as we are all one”

I really, really, really, hope that this is not just a cruel April Fool's joke. At last, World Citizens have a country!

Well sheeeeyoooot!!  This is awesome.  Now that Zaadz has denigrated itself to a despotic autocracy I think now is the perfect time to have a Coup and install a new puppet regime.  I put “W” in as first idiot and CEO.  I just sold all of my pork barrel stocks to fund this little political piece of knuckle headed derring do!  And not to be outdone here, I am also installing an equally brilliant second in command; Anna Nicole Smith with the backup default player Justin Timberlake.

I am totally enamored of Princes's Village Flag. Everyone go see Princess's Village Flag!! If I had a real one I'd run it up the flag pole! (Does it take an entire village to raise a flag?)

I don't know about the stamp - I love it's beauty - simple clean lines, smashing content -  but it may not be a great idea to give some administrations of some governments - whose name I will not mention - any ideas about cyber-stamps. The next thing you know, you'll be paying 37 cents to send an email. No wait … it's 39 now … no wait …

Well I'm so glad we've finally done that.  Now we are established on the Day of Fools and are Fools, and indeed this will give us the wisdom to LOVE one another, do the things that are needful, and, of course DANCE and be foolish.  Ah, a nation that is Paradise!

Good initiative. We are already moving towards a goal of global nation. Its like evolution and in totality also we are like a species. Human race is doing good on this earth for long. I just LOVE it.

I'm slowly hatching a Paean to Zaadz blog, and this 'declaration' speaks truly to how I experience this beautiful place. For me,  it is a place. I do not have a home; I travel so much and do so many different things that I've lost any sense of where I am, and sometimes who or what I am — but there is always here, always Zaadz, my home, my family, my support, my life - always here, ever expanding, ever deepening.

p.s. And why not a micro nation??

I don't feel like a member of an independent nation here at zaadz, with the addition of the large ads running along the right of the web pages.  I feel more like I am somehow owned by the advertisers and corporations listed, no matter how “socially-conscious” and “positive” they may be.  Takes up too much real estate on the page.  In flickr there are ads too, but at least there is an option to remove them when you become a paying member.  Maybe zaadz can offer this option?  I'd gladly contribute to zaadz if that would remove the ads on the side.

cobalt: We definitely plan on offering the ability to upgrade, so thank you so, so much for bringing that up!  What do you think is a resonable price for an ad-free Zaadz, considering that the site does need to be profitable in order to keep the community alive?

(And thank you, too, for your thoughtful insight into how you feel about those sponsors and advertisers; I'm sorry about your experience of feeling 'owned.' We'd love to hear, again, community feedback about what businesses you'd like to see us including, so you feel less as though you're being impinged upon and more as though you're helping to spread the word about those companies you feel are doing good in the world. So please let us know! We've started a discussion forum on the topic over here.)

Glad to see staff are actually reading these comments several days after introduced.  Thank you for your reply Siona.  I will go to that link where there are only a few comments thus far and hopefully others will find it.  It is hard to navigate about the site and it just took me about 20 minutes to find this comment thread again.  Didn't know if if was “team blog”, news, “hot” or questions and all the links are a bit competing with each other to find what you are looking for.  A site map or index would be great, with a short description of each feature or link.  Just in case others don't wend their way over THERE to the new discussion, I think about $25 is about right.  There won't be a lot of members that will pay it, but those that do will be likely to spread the word more and to re-pay each year.  Seriously, a lot of folks just don't hang around sites long if ads are too intrustive and take up too much space on each page.

And again, we want to hear what businesses and companies other Zaadzsters already appreciate, so we can help spread the word about them. Good businesses don't get enough attention, as far as we're concerned. :)
