WorldBlu's Most Democratic Workplaces

Have you heard of WorldBlu? They're a leadership and business design studio committed to "elevating the human spirit and inspiring freedom through organizational democracy and freedom-centered leadership." Their mission involves the creation of a more democratic world through bringing the principles of democracy into organizations.

Awesome.

We're mentioning them here, though, because of their just-announced list of the "Most Democratic Workplaces" in the world.  Thirty-four winning companies were chosen based on the practice of ten democratic principles like decentralization, accountability, choice, and integrity at the level of leadership, individual, systems, and process.

And guess what?

Zaadz is on the list.

Um. Is this acceptance speech time? Can we just thank everyone? And can we say how totally honored we are to be included? And how thrilled we are about seeing this model of autonomy and responsibility spreading to other workplaces? And how excited we are about empowering and inspiring all of you do bring these values to your jobs and your careers, wherever you might happen to be at the moment?

Well. We're pretty excited.

This business model seems so logical! Why not consider the way in which your ability to do your job well helps support the lives of the co-workers you care about? The better work you're able to do, the more successful your business will be, and the happier and more fulfilled will be the lives of those you work with. It's a beautiful and inspiring approach to careers, a way of making work even more meaningful, and a wonderfully empowering view of the world.

We can't wait for that list of 34 to number in the millions.
